Author visit - understanding autism for KS2

When children have friends with autism it can be difficult for them to understand or accept their behaviours and ways of working.  Which is why we were so pleased last week to welcome in author, inclusion consultant and autism trainer, Kay Al-Ghani to lead an assembly with KS2 pupils on friendship and peer relations.

By informing and teaching children about peoples' difference and celebrating those differences we can break down barriers, making life easier and more enjoyable for everyone.  

Kay also donated a copy of her lovely book Baby Blue has the Blues for our school inclusion library - thank you Kay!
