Black History Month - our work

As part of Black History month, each class learned about different role models in history or from the current day.  These including Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Raheem Sterling, Mary Seacole and Michelle Obama.

Cherry Class's subject was Marcus Rashford - they were really impressed with how much he has done recently and found what a great role model he is!

Their activity was to make a timeline about his life, placing events in his life in chronological order. They learned that he was born on Halloween, played for the Manchester United academy, established a charity called 'In the Box' and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Manchester University for his 'outstanding sense of community'.
