World Book Day at Epping Primary
Last week saw one of our favourite days of the year - World Book Day! Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating it and enjoyed the range of activities we had planned for them throughout the day. It was fantastic to see their excitement and enthusiasm for stories, books, and reading.
We also worked hard to ensure that every pupil in school received their very own book to take home. We hope they enjoy reading these and sharing them with you.
A huge thank you to all of you for your support in helping to make the day so special. The children’s costumes were absolutely fantastic, and the effort put into the whole-school creative homework competition was truly wonderful. Your involvement helped make the day memorable and exciting for everyone.
Pupils enjoyed showing off their brilliant costumes during our fun red‑carpet catwalks. Throughout the week, classes took part in a variety of book‑themed activities — from writing about their characters using some a great variety of adjectives to painting story characters on paper plates, reading favourite books and spending time outdoors.
Our pupils were also rightfully proud of some impressive book‑themed classroom doors and shared stories with their buddies, which was a lovely way to end the week.
Some classes even visited the library dressed as their favourite characters — a perfect way to celebrate our love of reading.
We enjoyed egg painting competitions and our first ever Mystery Book hunt was an incredible success!
Thank you once again for all your help and support.
